Who can participate?
Our study participants are nurses of Filipino descent who worked during the COVID-19 pandemic in one of our recruitment areas. As of July 2024, our sites include the metropolitan areas of Virginia Beach, VA; New York, NY; Chicago, IL, the state of California, and the Philippines.
We also recognize that the global Filipino diaspora includes Filipino nurses in other countries like the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and many more. As the capacity of our research team continues to grow, we hope to expand internationally and include additional research sites in the future.
What is the project studying?
Those who are interested and eligible to participate will be interviewed by a member of our research team. The interview will take approximately 30 minutes to an hour and remain anonymous, unless the participant opts in to remain identified.
Interview questions include topics such as religion/faith, COVID-19, anti-Asian hate, stress and coping skills.
